Popular Post XaW
Alright, I got lured in by @Winski. I'm heading to Northern Ireland, and will try to bring glory to Norn Iron at last! So I holidayed and took over Crewe United. I really like their kit, and I'm quite happy with my replication of their home shirt! I think that is a pretty good attempt. I even re-coloured their badge to match the black away shirt! This will take a while, so wish me luck!
PJHoutman88
So I've been playing as Rynninge IK in Sweden. Things have been going pretty well; won the Swedish Second Division in my second season and survived by the skin of our teeth in the third. But we're entering our 4th season now and my U19's still haven't been added to one of the youth leagues. Even more annoying since during October, I got a note in the calendar during game progression that my youth team were 'entering the U19 First Division'. All youth leagues have been drawn now in Jan 2026, and we're not among them again. Can anybody confirm that this will eventually happen? Popular Post Neo_Geo
Season Review That was just one of those season's where luck just went your way at almost every moment. We were leading the league for a fair whack even when going through a bad winless spell over December and January but then fell away from Ebbsfleet as our home form dropped (throughout the year were were just winning at home but away was a different story). Ultimately we managed to finish 2nd and then in the play-offs bolstered by a couple of the intake from this year we beat Carshalton and Bath to reach the Vanarama National. I had been hoping for a while that we'd just drop out of the play-off position or lose in the play-offs as I think it's WAY too soon for this club and this squad so next year could be a really hard year. On that note.....based on seeing @ludakcompleting another uncompleted nation and seeing the map of Europe there is still plenty more nations to achieve this challenge with. Given the English version of this challenge is a real slog I'm going to keep it as a secondary save (need to be careful with the player renaming and NewGan not to lose my English settings) but take on another smaller European country not yet completed.
Popular Post officiallydeej
Season Summary Liga Bwin - We couldn't quite replicate last season's 7th place finish and unfortunately miss out on European football as a result. We didn't start well due to the European games bringing fixture congestion and were as low as 14th in January before coming on strong as the games thinned out in the new year. We beat Vizela in the last game week to overtake them but unfortunately Casa Pia held their nerve with a win at relegated Gil Vicente to pip us to 7th. Still a good outing all things considered as I was worried we might be closer to the bottom three that we ever were. We took our first points off the big three this season with draws against both Porto and Benfica. The Cups - I'm rolling these into one as it was a really poor outing this season. Both came in the thick of the early season fixture congestion so I didn't really put out a side or make any effort to progress. Europe - We had managed to beat Wisla Krakow 3-0 on aggregate before losing 2-1 to Scottish side Hibernian in the 4th qualifying round. Now this may not look great for a Portuguese side but as I have it as an active league the Scottish teams have become a bit of a European force in this save with Hibernian making it all the way to the semi finals and St Johnstone winning the Conference League this season! Other bits - We managed a set of upgrades across the board which really produced as you will see a little bit later on. We are back in the red and losing almost £400k per month so I really could do with getting back in Europe next season as I don't think league sponsorship will keep us afloat longer term without forcing player sales. Top Prospects This will be the last time we see Roicado 25e on this list as he is leaving us next month. Despite my efforts I couldn't persuade him to sign a new contract so he will be moving to Vizela (who finished below us!) on a free transfer to 'play at a higher level'. He leaves us after a total of 237 appearances, scoring 25 goals with a average rating of 6.85. He was by far our best player for a long time but I think the 6 year contract we gave him kept us up in our first season at this level and also has allowed our newer graduates to get closer. Hopefully we won't miss him too much with strong players coming through but he'll leave a big hole at the centre of our defence next season. Laureano 25h is now far and away our best player and also refusing to come to the negotiating table about a new contract. He has 2 years left to run so hopefully we will be able to get back in Europe and sign him up for another 6 if we can get him to talk. He still loves a booking but gives us boundless energy down the right hand side and is involved in a lot more of our goals than his 7 assists give him credit for. As I suspected last season Madrigal 25g was the key to our success this season. We lost him through injury for 5 weeks late in 2031 and didn't win a single game of the 7 he missed, drawing 5 blanks in that time. He scored a career best 21 goals this season and was our only player to finish with an average rating of over 7. He's knocking on the door of the Colombian national team and with the number of times the manager has been to watch him I think he'll get a call up if he keeps his form up. Youth Intake The new facilities have delivered big time, bringing in what I suspect will be the intake to catapult this save to the next level. An incredible nine 5* prospects with everyone signed up except for Morais and his casual personality. I honestly could have picked 10 of the candidates to share as my best prospects but decided to stick to two as I always do. Tavares 32b has the highest current ability in the eyes of my assistant and would in all honesty already be in the first team if I played a right midfielder. I'm retraining him as a winger and he'll be joining the first team group for pre-season. Correia 32g needs some work on his physicals but has an excellent personality and is already developing at pace. He has an unusually high 18 flair for a box to box midfielder so I'm excited to see what he can do coming on from the bench. Transfers & Next Season Nothing to show on the transfer front but Roicado will soon appear here which is a big loss to us. Neither of the loan players impressed in a side that were relegated back out of the 4th tier. Next season is an interesting one and I'm at a bit of a crossroads in how I intend to proceed. I can replace Roicado with one of our slightly worse but still developing players and stick with the majority of the 24 & 25 intake players that make up our starting 11 (our only original player is now our goalkeeper but his days are numbered) and probably have another run at 7th but they're playing at their absolute max. The 31 and particularly 32 intakes are carrying players who look on another level in terms of current ability at the same age and you'd hope they have a higher ceiling, my assistant certainly seems to think so. I'm inclined to throw a good 6 or 7 of them into the match day squad and deal with the inevitable inconsistency that it will bring with the bigger picture that they are likely to be the generation that see us move towards the very top of the table in 3/4 years time.

The Invincibles! A great season in the league behind us, the best one so far. The cup win for the fourth double in a row! Right from the start I was sure we could go far if injuries don't stop us. And so it was. One loss, to Monaco at home in the league phase was the sign that I needed that this is it. WE made it, we are a European power now, and it's just a matter of time. Luckily it was on the first try! I was the better team in every single game played. Two loses against Napoli and Leeds were just FM doing FM things. Destroying Liverpool was my favorite part of this season, as they won it last year and Alfred Schreuder had some thigs to say about us both before and after the game. The final game was great on our side, they scored a great goal from a team effort that left their striker alone 3m in front of the goal, and at that point I got scared, but, Durakovic asisted and had a penalty on him which was enough to crow us champions of Europe! The players that made all the difference when it was important, and without them we would still be happy to finish in the top 24 in the league phase. It certainly helped that I had more quality players in rotation for the first team, which made it easy for us to win the league without players getting too tired to play games in the CL. I don't know what else to say. Club World Championship is coming up, so I may also play that before starting a new save. Reveal hidden contents The board sold him. Neo_Geo
England save locked away for a bit.....so another save begins in the uncompleted Czech Republic with MFK Vítkovice! Never know why the records aren't available at the start but hey ho. So the Czech Republic league structure in FM23 has Czech First Division and Czech Second Division. Second division has 16 teams with 30 games. Bottom 2 are relegated, winner is promoted and 2nd and 3rd enter play-off with the winner also gaining promotion. First division has 16 teams as well with 30 games played before the split into Champions Group, Playoff First Round and Relegation Group. A little late to get started properly tonight but looking forward to exploring a new country once more. Edited January 18, 2023 by Neo_Geo

We are on our way to the football league, and we are on the way there in style! WE WON THE VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE on the final day of the season! Everyone was delighted with the league win! And we became a Icon of Guiseley! The final league positions looked like this. Our end of season form was amazing ! And once again, it was year on year improvement. We also got an unbeaten streak going which was greater than ever before... And we had a new all time appearance maker for the club ! And not only that... Our U18s won the league AGAIN ! We had an increased overall average attendance in our league winning season... Which led to the board developing the stadium ! And of course, with promotion to the Football League we had to go professional - meaning we can now train full time and really get out the players development going ! WHAT A SEASON ! Bring on Season Eleven where for the first time in the club's history, we will in the football league and be a professional club ! WISH US LUCK ! BigJack
FC United 2041/42 - Season 19. Season Preview Preview Predicted Finish = 20th Competitions Overview Premier League - 17th. League Table Past Positions FA Cup - Lost in the 3rd round to Bristol City. Carabao Cup - Lost in 2nd round to Sunderland. Its been a struggle, but we have managed to seal the clubs Premier League status for another season with a 17th placed finish. We started poorly with just 1 point from our opening 3 games, this prompted me to switch from the 424 we have mainly been using to our 2nd formation, a more counter attacking 4231, and we then took 14 points from our next 8 games which had us looking really good. A run of 7 losses on the spin followed and put us well and truly back in the relegation picture. We picked up results here and there and with 5 games remaining, we had our fate in our own hands. A loss to Newcastle, followed by a draw with Chelsea meant we was almost safe, then this huge 2-1 Home Win over rivals Man Utd practically sealed survival with 2 games remaining. Playing Squad Squad Transfers Best 11 A good first year at this level, my big worry is the majority of my first 11 may be getting close to their potential ceilings and I need to start nurturing the next generation if we are to push on and really start to improve in the next couple of seasons. Main men this year were: Jewell 33d - 15 league goals in his debut Prem season is not a bad return at all. Adkins 39a - Is now one of the first names on the team sheet and continues to get better and better. Woodcraft 36b - 9 goal contributions this season and he looked a natural at this level before dropping off towards the end of the season. Diallo 35b - Was delighted he signed a new long term deal last summer having looked to be leaving on a free, he is a really important player for us as behind him we lack a decent back up. Bascoe 36a - Solid first season from him at this level and he is one who I think can really kick on. Youth Development Preview Intake Personalities Its an ok intake, 3 elite talents but not the best in terms of personalities. The 3 elite talents are: Harrison 42a Fredricson 42b Williams 42c Finances and Facilities Finances Facilities Training Facilities and a New Stadium. Its not named after me which I am pretty gutted about as this is still something I have never managed to achieve on the game. Still, this is due to be built in 3 years time so we have a new temporary home until then. I have never heard of the Moritz Wunderlich stadium in Bolton, but it has 40903 capacity so the clubs coffers should see a nice boost if we can pack it out. Edit: Did a little digging regarding the stadium, and it appears Moritz is a German tycoon who purchased Bolton in 2026, built a stadium in 2031, named it after himself and then withdrew funding in 2041. What a chap!. Other Overall Best 11 Club Records Edited January 28, 2023 by BigJack

Popular Post Winski
NK Čelik Zenica Well, here we go then. I finally found a stable Bosnian database. I tried two others, but one of them doesn't have a promotion-relegation from their second league. And the other file was broken unfortunately. Everytime I checked the Projection-screen at Finances, the game just stopped working. But now I finally found a database that's working how it should be. So I can also finally start a youth only save in Bosnia! Something I wanted to do for a very long time. And this club in particulair. NK Celik Zenica is one of the most prominent and succesful Bosnian clubs. They are 7th on the All Time Premier League Table. But due to financial troubles, the club got relegated to the 4th Division. Their financial troubles aren't over nowadays. But they are back on the 3rd level, and hold the first place in real life after 15 matches. So it sounds like a fantastic challenge to me, to bring them back where they belong, and make them the most succesful Bosnian club ever. Some Wiki info: Spoiler Nogometni klub Čelik Zenica (English: Football Club Čelik Zenica) is a professional football club based in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The name Čelik means Steel in Bosnian and it symbolizes the strength and power of the club in an industrial city well-known for steel production. Throughout its history, the club has been known for the excellent support of its fans at its Bilino Polje stadium which hosts the Bosnian national team. NK Čelik is one of the most prominent and successful football teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina being one of only two Bosnian clubs to win the national championship three times in a row – from 1994 to 1997. The club also won two national cups in a row – from 1995 to 1996. During the time of the former Yugoslavia, Čelik had played 17 seasons in the Yugoslav First League. Čelik won the Mitropa Cup two times, and was joint winner of the UEFA Intertoto Cup once. In addition, Čelik is the only fan-owned football club in Bosnia & Herzegovina where club members democratically elect its leadership.[1] Today, Čelik is active in the Second League of FBIH having previously played in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina before getting relegated in the 2019–20 Bosnian Premier League season to the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.[2] In order to stabilise the club due to financial difficulties, its General Assembly voted to continue competing in the fourth tier-League of Zenica-Doboj Canton on 13 July 2020.[3] The club advanced from the Cantonal league to the Second league of FBiH for the 2021–22 season. So yeah, here we go! Bosnia got two playable leagues, so I'll start at the 2nd level of Bosnia. The club already have three incoming transfers, and one outgoing. I won't use those incoming players. Unfortunately Eldar Sivac, who's leaving us for Posusje, is one of our best players. And this is the Club Overview. I made these kits by using FM Kit Creator and it's based on their current real-life kits. The starting point of our facilities is just great. I really hope that it'll give me a kickstart.

Still, we had a great season and almost got promoted. Armagh City had a very good season, as they won the league, but also got to the final of the Irish cup! So being within a few points of them is quite well. Also, I love all the cups here! I managed to get the board to approve of a single improvement to the club this season, but it's a start. Irish Cup: We beat Bourneview, Knockbreda, and Glenavon (of the top tier!) before we lost to Portadown in the quarter final.Irish Intermediate Cup: We beat Seagoe, Bryansburn, Portadown Reserves, Newington Youth, Larne Olympic, and Linfield Swifts before we lost to Moyola Park in the final.Mid-Ulster Cup: We lost to Armagh City in the 1st round.NIFL Cup: We beat Limavady United before we lost to Ballyclare Comrades in the 2nd round. Popular Post JLAB
Motor Lublin - Season 10 - Transfer Disaster So today I come back far earlier than I normally would because something happened that was out of my control. We started off the season in a great way too. We managed to back Dynamo Kyiv and Galatasaray in the Champions League, before we found ourselves getting knocked out of the Champions League by Lille. We also won our first two league games, but have since gone 4 games without a win in the league now. Like I said, we've come back rather earlier, and hopefully our form recovers sooner rather than later. I don't want us to be fighting against relegation this season. In the Europa League, we have been drawn against teams that I think we should be beating. Groningen, Vojvodina, Koyaspor, Sheriff and Ross County. For the first time I had hope that we would finish in the top 24 and have a chance of progressing to the last 16 of a European competition. Until I got betrayed. Within 2 hours, the chairman sold two of my best players without my approval for £20M. I was livid at the time this happened and I couldn't believe that I would lose two of my best players, especially with one of them being sent back to me when I couldn't use him. The biggest loss will be Marek Sawicki. He got sold for £11.75M and sent back on loan to me. I will not be using him, even if I wish that I could. The last person that we sold was Kacper Cichecki for £8.25M. We didn't loan him back, but he would have been a huge help to us if we could have kept him. I was livid when this happened and was honestly very strongly considering resigning from the club in protest. However, I took 6 days away from the save, started a new save with another club and calmed down. I've decided to continue on with the save despite how angry I was at the time when this happened to me. I'll see you guys again soon. Hopefully we won't lose any players in the January transfer window, I'm not sure if I will be able to take it if we did... Neo_Geo
@JLAB it's so frustrating, I didn't get too much of it in my FM 23 save but in Holland with Katwijk in FM22 I seemed to be losing all my best players every year. Popular Post Daddy
2023/24 Season Review: A disappointing collapse. With about 5 matches to go we were only six points behind Havant for first, and then to lose four out of five and miss the playoffs hurt. We still met/beat expectations so no real concerns there. A really bad loss in the FA Cup during the initial free fall of form. No transfers and no upgrades. At least got one coaching badge. Finances are going to be a worry. Youth Intake: With the poor facilities I wasn't expecting anyone to come in ready to play. The senior squad is old, but has some talent for this level. A lot of depth options and players will see time as the senior squad is also very thin. 2024/25 Season Preview: I didn't like the sponsor logo the team uses, it wasn't strong enough (and I'm not good enough with graphics to make it more visible). I decided to take one of my favorite beers as it has a good logo and make that the team sponsor now. The neat kit design here also took a few contrasting colors so I took from the Flower Power logo as well. Poor facilities and aging players have led to a bit of a decline in some players, but I'm not sure it's that dramatic to go from top half projection last season to relegation favorites.
Popular Post polesetter1
Stomil Olsztyn | 2025-26 Winter-Break Report | PKO Ekstraklasa NOT GREAT, NOT TERRIBLE, vol.2 This is a very similar season to what we've witnessed in our first season in 1. Liga. Our performance was quite depressing at times, with poor finishing up front (Florek quiet at the start of the season again), slow defenders being bullied by the opposition (I mean really, they were a waste of food in this round) and even our goalkeeper - Syldatk - was making some terrible errors. We lose crazy amount of goals from free-kicks (9 lost goals in 17 matches). At least we don't concede as much penalties as in season 1. Our only positives are Filip Wójcik, who shines in the top division so far, and Andrzej Kolcz (25B) who develops very fast and already become first team regular. We've also loaned out Filip Romachów (24B) which finally made him develop a little. Those are probably the only home-growns with potential to play at this level for the moment. The rest of them don't show too much of a promise. The pre-season was good, when we've beaten few Ekstraklasa teams and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, we've faced two top teams at the beginning (Radomiak and Pogoń, who play in Europe) and our morale was poor from the get go. It was hard to recover, as we've faced Raków Częstochowa and our nemesis - Wisła Kraków (we've faced them 3 times already, losing all games) and it was very hard to recover. The best moments of the round was the glorious comeback against Górnik Zabrze, when we went from 0:3 to 4:3 (!) and very strong performances against Zagłębie Lubin Cracovia, whom we've beaten 3:0 and 4:1. Nevertheles, very tough opposition at the end of the year (Lech, Legia, Raków, Radomiak - top 3 teams of the current season and Raków which plays in Conference League) left us with humiliating crescendo. We've dropped to relegation zone and are dead last curently. We are around 1 point per game threshold, which is all I can demand from my guys, but it might be not enough to stay in the league. Maybe, relatively easy fixtures at the beginning of the spring will help us to gain some momentum! Despite some depressing performances at the start of the season I can't be dissapointed. We play pretty good for our level, but we underachieve the most in terms of xG. We were also able to increase our junior coaching budget! It's good now. We also had very promising intake preview this year! I have high hopes for this one. League Table Spoiler Schedule Spoiler Transfers Spoiler Intake Preview Spoiler PS. Due to our current position, I'm already on the lead of "sack-race". Ungrateful bastards from the board... Should've stayed in the 1. Liga.

Popular Post the_hdk
Polonia Warszawa - Black Shirts Season 31/32 Players / Transfers First season we ware really dominant in the league. Could be becuase of the drop of Legia. But we ware never really challanged. We did well in CL aswell. Passed Nice in Knock out round. But ended the run against Bayern. Season tickets finally above 2k. And Youth facilities ware extended by the new board..I did not even had to ask. DLUGOLECKI became our first goaly after DUDEK decided he wanted a new challanged and the youngster had more or less same skill already. KOCHANEK (aka Lover) jumped in at Left back after he surpussed our old regen LUKASIK there). And TOMIC our Croat-german replaced SKOCZYLAS who had his min fee met of nearly 20mln. Biggest sale so far. We nearly also sold MAHE but he declined the offer from Hertha. I really hope we will not lose our strikers as we do not really have anything running around up front in the youths. PSG with their CL win. They beat Inter in the final. But they did lose the league as Monaco was crowned french champion. MBAPPE with his 3rd Ballon d'Or. Biggest sale of the club so far. Together with CL money we are too rich. I finally got all my qualifications. Graduated at the age of 52! Our new HOYD. BERESZYNSKI judt didn't want to study and improve...and than I had opportunity to hire this amazing HOYD and went for it. Amazing skills and Model Citizen. A bit old...but we can squeeze 5-7 seasons out of him. Class of MERIEUX '32. Four elite. No foreign intake sadly. SIERANT seems to be the best of the crop. Fairly proffesional with decent determination and work rate. Already ok skills for center back. Love the aggresion. IS this our very own polish PEPE? (dives into tackles) He is not very fast though. Still very promising.

Popular Post XaW
XaW - Crewe United - Season 2024/25 (Season 2) - Belfast Telegraph Championship 2 Squad | Transfers | Finances So another season close to the last one, but this time we actually won the playoff and are heading up! And it was a very close league this season, so anyone could have gotten the two top spots in the end. We could have won it, but we started the season horribly as we lost the first 4 matches of the season! At least we managed to bounce back and climb up to the top half before the league split. One issue is that we conceded a lot more goals this season, and I think the main reason is that my best defender decided to retire at the end of last season, so I had to rely on the youngsters already. Still, a good learning experience, and with us going up, the next season will be an exciting one for us. No clue how well we will do, but the goal is to avoid going back down. I've found that you can often get it removed by talking to the agent before offering and ask for "please not make anything non-negotiable" or something along those lines. Not always, but at that point I can remove it from negotiations and just slightly up the wage to make everyone happy!
Popular Post Neo_Geo
Season Review Thoroughly enjoyed that season, we were predicted to finish 10th so we outperformed expectations and were just 1 point away from a play-off place which sounds harsh but the squad would be nowhere near the level of quality and depth for going up a division given we are about to lose our central defender captain and record appearance holder Cverna and whilst we have another decent defender or two I think it could be big loss as he chipped in with 4 goals from corners as well. Tactically I settled for a 4-3-3 2DM away from home and at home I switched between a 4-2-3-1 DM AM Wide and a 4-4-2 2DM going balanced at home and cautious away but keeping the counter attacking approach for both. We went 10 unbeaten right up to the end of the season so I was pleased with the momentum we built up. As far as the squad is concerned Vacek is now 37 and whilst he was a big part of the success we had this season (13 assists and 3 goals) I need to have some succession planning. It was always about survival in the first season, second season is about transitioning some of the key areas to the best youth prospects and Vacek falls into this category. It's frustrating as he has 12 for free kicks and corners and is by far the best set piece player at the club so when he goes we'll probably see our goals from these dry up. Financially we had lost around £1m until the end of May when sponsorship and a £200k grant came in to put us in the green for the year, so that was nice to see. I've taken it slowly with the facilities given I got Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment both improved in the first season I didn't think it was a great idea to push for anything else at this point. For those that haven't done a Czech Republic save there is a winter break from December until the start of March, meaning the season flies by and before you know it the best day of the season is upon you (Youth Intake day!). Looking forward to continuing the save (definitely peaking my interest more than England right now)
Popular Post XaW
XaW - Crewe United - Season 2025/26 (Season 3) - Bluefin Sport Championship Squad | Transfers | Finances We stayed up, and that was the only goal for this season. It looked a bit shoddy for a while, as we flirted with the relegation spot at times, and were close to it for the most of the season. So unsurprisingly we ended in the lower bracket at the split, but we did have some good wins there to make sure we got away from the lowest spots. Next season is just more of the same, as we get more acclimated to the new tier and have the youngsters get more experience. I did manage to get another improvement done this season. Irish Cup: We beat Queen's University Belfast and Knockbreda before we lost to Harland & Wolff Welders in the 2nd round.Mid-Ulster Cup: We beat Fivemiletown before we lost to Portadown in the quarter final.NIFL Cup: We beat Dollingstown before we lost to Linfield in the 3rd round. Popular Post siiriainen
On 29/12/2022 at 11:28, siiriainen said: **FM 22** Ittihad Riadh Baladiat El Hadjar (IRB El Hadjar) (Championnat National de Football Amateur, Tier 3 Algeria) Season 1 - 2022/2023 - A New Beginning Round 2, lets go, hopefully a bit more success this time. Club Background: Located in El Hadjar, a town of 37,000 people in north east Algeria, Ittihad Riadh Baladiat El Hadjar (better known as IRB El Hadjar) was founded in 1975 and has had little to no success in their history. Just promoted into Algeria's third tier, the team has a newly built stadium with a capacity of 3718 that is owned by the club (not sure if this was mirroring real life or if it happened in game), but basic and poor facilities, including basic junior coaching and youth recruitment. Will a new manager from Albania who doesn't speak Arabic or French be able to return this team to glory using only players from the youth academy and eventually win the CAF Champions League or will he be sacked midway through the first season? Only time will tell. Algeria's third tier, the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur, is a completely amateur division with no foreign players allowed - not that that is much of an issue for me since I'm not signing anyone - split into 4 different groups. We are in Groupe C of the league. Each group has 16 teams and they play each other twice, with the top team promoted into tier two while the bottom four are relegated. The 2nd and third place team enter a promotion playoff to try to join the 2nd division. The board at IRB El Hadjar are a realistic bunch, knowing their limitations and only expecting to avoid relegation. That's fine with me since that's my goal too!. The team only has 17 players and are in a completely amateur division so the challenge will be keeping bodies on the team and collecting enough points for survival until we can get a youth intake for the next season. In the meantime, it is time to hire an assman and Head of Youth Development and seeing what the shape of this squad is like before the season kicks off. **FM22** Ittihad Riadh Baladiat El Hadjar (IRB El Hadjar) (Championnat National de Football Amateur, Tier 3 Algeria) On The Pitch Championnat National de Football Amateur Group C: 5th Place (of 16) Coupe d'Algérie: 2nd Round Entering the season we were tipped to be relegated. I don't blame the bookies for that prediction because I entered the season with only 17 players on the roster, and the bookies didn't know I wasn't going to be signing anyone! By the first game of the season we actually only had 11 players, just enough to field a full squad, as my team is semi-pro so and many of my non-contract players got quickly snapped up. So I headed into the first game expecting a struggle for the season. Well, to my surprise we ended up comfortably upper mid-table, and even flirted with the promotion playoff spots for most of the first half of the season. We hit some bad form midseason but I am more than happy with a 5th place finish, all things considered. In the Algerian Cup we got embarrassed 0-6 in the first round we played, as we had a tough draw against WA Tlemcen who were a recently relegated team from the 1st division (and ended up comfortably getting promoted from the 2nd division this season). In terms of individual performances, considering we only had 11 players everyone pulled their weight for the most part (we'll get to the one part that didn't). Bilal Houhou was the main star for us, picking up 27 goals in the season for us despite only having a finishing of 4! Our goaltender Dalil Zidane was also great, and if you look closely you can see he picked up 11 goals as I put him on PKs and direct free kicks for a laugh and he excelled. The one weak spot on the roster is Karim Dahmani. As I said, we only had 11 players on the team, and unfortunately none of them were left backs, so Dahmani took the short straw and became my designated left back on the squad since he was also the only left footed player on my squad. Well his lack of ability defending showed and he played terribly, the most remarkable thing though is that he picked up 5 red cards over the season, along with 9 yellow cards. I don't think I've ever seen a player pick up that many cards in a season, and when you lack the players those suspensions sure are felt. Thankfully our youth intake has some players that can play left back (although no long term options imo). Off the Pitch Transfers: No transfers in of course, but we lost 6 players against our will on frees Finances: -$17,213. Slowly leaking money, but not super concerned yet. Youth Intake An incredible youth intake with two obvious standouts in this class: Mohamed Saïdi and Abdelmalek Amrouche. Unfortunately they play in a position that is already a strength for the team and they play a similar type of game, but I won't say no to them replacing the players I was using prior as they both already are better options. I signed everyone from the intake, as I've been repeating, we only had 11 players on the squad so I'll take any reinforcements I can get. Next Season's Expectations Based on the surprise 5th place finish, I don't see why we can't push for a promotion playoff spot this year. We already were a young team and now we have some reinforcements on the squad to rotate players in and at least make some substitutions. I'm optimistic about a top 3 finish this year.
