russ the womble
End of Season 3 and didn't go well! Not a happy squad.. Will be a hit if I lose Lars Kastet, as he developed well in the past season: And Kasper Bern similarly did well, however Kastet has a relegation release clause and now has several clubs interested, so that will be an inevitability I think. New youth intake looks promising though. Ah well, promotion challenge it is then.. Ah, sacked. I see. I thought as I'd selected Div 3 as playable maybe there was a chance it continued. Alas. What happens when you get sacked?? Start again... gah... Edited November 1, 2022 by russ the womble

Do you have to 'bid' for youth intake players or do you always have the first option ? No no, everyone gets their own players in the intakes. It's just that some teams have a joint U19 and everyone contributes with some players to said team U19. Or at least that how it was in FM22, I have not given any players to U19 yet and I do not think I will in a future cuz I got the sack and I need to start from scratch.

Popular Post Braumiller
Notes A really fun, nerve jangling and ultimately successful season! The most enjoyable part is that we quickly settled on a system. We deployed our 4141 again, but this year we also had two complimentary tactics alongside it, one with the ML pushed up to the AML slot as an Inside Forward (S) and one with the same with the MR to AMR. This enabled last years top prospect to play in an advanced midfield role and compensate for the loss of 2 of our previous 3 starting capable wingers. We played Attacking at home, Balanced away and it worked a treat. Shutting up shop with 5-10 to go, removing our overlaps, timewasting and dropping from Attacking to Balanced at home, and Balanced to Defensive away. The league dogfight came down to the final day of the season, after IFK Berga beat us 0-1 at our place with an 89th minute winner in the penultimate week. We won our last game 2-0 at home, they drew 0-0 away! 12 elite prospects in the intake which is encouraging! Two good personalities and then a lot of Balanced and Unambitious.... Finances are not great though. The last stretch of the season we dipped into debt and were not allowed to renew any contracts. Thankfully senior members were already tied up, but the youth intake had to all go on youth contracts with non contracts at the end of it - worrisome. The bank balance popped back up to positive at seasons end with our grants, sponsorships and members fees, but that seasonal peak is getting smaller and smaller each year. I'll take it. There are two games that we should've won when we had the goal lead which is the Chivas and Pachuca games. Pachuca won the Liga BBVA MX Apertura over Monterrey. Youth Academy Youth Intake Preview Another excellent intake. We will see to be honest. Jordi Rocha 23C He is only 17 years old. He is now 3.5 stars as a BWM but I don't play him as that. 2.5 stars as a Segunda Volante and a 1 star as a Regista. My coaches keep complaining that he needs to improve his heading, do I really need to? Guillermo Valdéz 24A He's only 16 years old. He managed to raise his Determination by 2 points since his arrival in the club. He has been called up to Mexico U-20s and U-23s. His first international trophy is the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship 2024. He is now my main goalkeeper now as my aging goalkeeper got mad when I fined him. Miscellaneous New contract acquired after other Liga BBVA MX clubs kept asking me to interview. Since that contract renewal, they finally allowed me to get my National C License, improve our youth recruitment network (Fairly Basic -> Average), and improve the junior coaching (Adequate -> Good). For others that have gotten upgrades, have you seen it hit your finances? I'm looking at my finances and don't see any expenditures in regards to the youth recruitment network and junior coaching upgrades. Popular Post shaunvamos
I'll be waiting until most of the major non-European leagues are made playable to build on my save from FM22, but in the meantime I'll be returning to my first and only true love in FM, the Youth Academy Challenge. I'm only up to Page 9 so far, but I don't think anyone has chosen where I'll be managing in yet. It's the highest ranked country in the UEFA coefficient without a team in Europe excluding Russia and unplayable leagues. Not really spoilt for choice in Slovenia, with both promoted teams having no more than 12 players. What made me choose Podvinci over the other team is the fact that of the other team's 12 players, 4 were keepers. Easy choice. Tactically I won't be operating with anything specific, just what my analysts think will work best against whoever we're playing. The roles will be the simplest ones in the game, nothing too fancy. I'll also be using my attribute formulas to pick the teams, but at this early stage I'll be using quick pick as we won't have enough players to fill the team. All I know is that it's going to be a white knuckle ride until the intake when we'll have some warm bodies to take up space. Popular Post Reiver
FC Barreirense Not too good to be true! 2024 Youth Intake I'll let the images speak for themselves! Plenty to be happy about. While there's not a player 100% ready to slot right into the first team, there's plenty of potential here, let's have a look at the one's I?m most excited about: José Rodrigues stands out. Farily Professional, 16 Tackling!. His physicals and mentals do need improving, but that's a solid start. Albino doesn't stand out as much because he's unambitious, it's the one thing that screws the whole player, or else I'd even consider fitting him into our DM position. Oliveira on the other hand has very good physicals to begin with (for this level), we need to work on getting his decent technicals up. Another unaambitious player. If we can somehow improve on that, he's a decent goalscoring threat. We somehow need to turn this guy into our backup right back. Quickly. Popular Post benrollo
I had to give it a go after seeing some of the absolutely stellar work with infographics in here! This was our most successful season to date, not only based on our final league position of 8th - meaning we avoided the relegation drama altogether - but also because we managed to convince Kenan Bozic 24-1 to sign a new contract! In the Final Phase we didn't really do a great deal (actually finishing just 1 point better off than the team in the final relegation playoff position!) but we were safe. For the second year running, our best 3 performers were all academy graduates. Kenan Bozic 24-1 of course led the way, with an insane 7.72 average rating. Second place is maybe slightly contentious, as Bojan Milovanovic 25-6 only started 3 games, but he did come off the bench to seemingly superb effect in 17 games - earning himself a 7.54 rating. Nikola Cakic 26-1 was third with a 7.07 rating, along with a place in the NxGn 2028 list to boot! The youth candidates preview again promised exciting things, which was then followed up with 7 elite talents when they graduated. It was certainly good to see a couple of players rated highly enough in terms of CA to potentially help us immediately. Here are the top 3 talents, who did really stand out from the rest. Dragan Lukic 28-1 Lukic made 9 appearances after graduating and played pretty well. We do have a half decent DM already in the squad, but I can't imagine it will be long before 'House of the' Dragan is first choice. Slavisa Markovic 28-2 Already up to 10 appearances, which is impressive when you consider we have an established left winger already in the shape of Igor Pavlovic 27-1. I'm working on retraining Markovic as a left back to open up more opportunities, and provide more cover. Filip Kostic 28-3 Kostic is buried behind Nikola Pejovic 25-1 for that right wing slot, and has not yet made a senior appearance. He has the promise to overtake Pejovic at some point though. Our other elite talents were Dusan Pavlovic, Goran Stankovic, Aleksa Pavlovic and Almir Durakovic. We also had our first poached graduate, so I'll be keeping an eye out for him in future classes. Off the field, we finally managed to convince the board to let us go on a coaching course (it isn't going to take us on to bigger and better things, I promise). Frustratingly, our youth facilities have been downgraded, and we still don't have the funds to reverse the deterioration. We did manage to get our Junior Coaching up to an Exceptional level, although I'm yet to see the impact of our exception recruitment - we can pop our heads outside of the Belgrade area chaps! Next season might be the one where we start to sell off one or two talents. I really want to get the facilities upgraded, but there just isn't enough money in the Serbian game to allow us to get to that point. Plus, wonderkid extraordinaire Cakic only has 2 years left on his contract, and he won't sign a new one!

Post screenshots. I saw you're earlier question but couldn't read the text in the link. Also im not sure if this relates just to FM23 (i'm still on FM22). Unless I'm mistaken you should see an immediate reduction in balance for both facility upgrades, while the coaching and recruitment are essentially increases in monthly operating costs. Junior coaching would be paying for more/better junior coaches and recruitment would be paying scouts of juniors (at least that's my take on it). I'm not playing FM at the moment but I think there is an outgoings row for academy or youth costs, or something like that. I think that one should reflect youth spend.

A few more games with them and I reckon we'd have snuck in, but next season is very promising. Cups were very disappointing, knocked out of both against National League opposition early on- that's affected our finances as prize money really keeps us afloat. We struggled with goals, evidenced by the fact that my winger was top scorer with 11. This has been a theme for the entire save though, have been desperate for a striker. Star Players Kieran Boucher - GK - One of the few legacy players still hanging on. Captain and player of the season.Lamar Mackey 27a - AMC - Goal contributions are still lacking, but he's developed incredibly well.Leighton Allard 27b - DM - Plays as a BWM(De). Dirty, abrasive and does the unfancy stuff in the middle.Lamine Camara 27d - AMR - Was AWFUL for the first 25 games, but grew into the role. Developed well. Youth Intake We were promised a 5* intake in December. FIVE STAR CA HOLY MOLY. Six of these players went straight into the first team. Graeme MacFarlane is actually GOD TIER. My current striker scored 6 this season, so this guy was immediately retrained as an Advanced Forward. He's already wanted by Burnley. Next Season Make the most of MacFarlane because I can't see him being here for long I did tie him down to a 2 year contract + 2 in my favour, but I KNOW the board will accept a low bid for him. Play-offs is the goal for sure, we're getting a solid team now - the last 2 intakes were of a much higher quality. OMG McFarlane I haven't seen a player that good at that level for 600+ seasons!
Popular Post VinnyChilds
As I've given up on Belgium for now, I'm starting a new one in reliable England. So without further ado... Quote Good Evening, I'm from Essex in case you couldn't tell. My given name is Dickie I come from Billericay and I'm doing very well! Spoiler Not a lot is expected of us this season: The fans seem to hate just about everyone and I need to win over the dressing room sharpish! The facilities, while not terrible, will need addressing sooner rather than later The first issue that springs out is the lack of depth the the squad - 20 in total with one immediately retiring, and 6 of those are 16 years old from last year's youth intake. Four more were out of contract so had me over a barrel when it came to negotiating terms. I ask Chris Dickson to reconsider his retirement but he turns me down, but at 38 I'm not sure what he could realistically have contributed anyway. We'll have to struggle on with the ragtag crew that remains, thankfully a few of them are versatile when it comes to positions, I expect I'll be leaning heavily into that. and finally, in case you're wondering why I look like Two-Face, I used this pic of the original Billericay Dickie to generate my avatar, and thought the result was funny enough to persevere with.

Lig Transfers / Players You guys have been showing such awesome info I needed to join you and cam up with the overview above. Great season in 1. Lig. We managed to get into playoffs again..so In theory we could have back to back promoted, but we lost in playoffs sadly. Just not good enough yet. With maybe 2-3 seaosns more I recon we could be. We had some amazing players breaktrough into the first team. AKDENIZ the best regen of last seaosn grew in half a year into 4 stars so I had to star him as center back at just 16 years old. ÇALIS and ARSLAN (year 0 regens) broke through into the first team and now both at 4 stars too. While KOSUKAVAK on the wing back is getting there. We managed to increase the Youth recruitment twice and teh coaching once so hopefully we will be getting even better youth intakes. Our training facilicisties did degrade so that is a pity. Training degrade / Junior coaching increase / Youth recruitment increase / Youth recruitment increase 2 Youth Not a bad intake. 2nd year in a row 15 players from Izmir. again 4 4,5 star potentials. A goaly while not needed yet could come in handy. The two midfielders and another wing back will def have a chance for first team within a seaosn or 2. Best two out of the bunch; TURAN. Good personality in F. Prof. A bit small but could become a great box to ox with alot of training. But with his Determination and work rate I think he will get there. GABEL. Decent goaly talent. ok Handling but needs work. His work rate does worry me.

I'm looking at my finances and don't see any expenditures in regards to the youth recruitment network and junior coaching upgrades. You are looking in the right spot It just isn't instantaneous. Over time you'll notice a higher monthly spend in the "Youth Setup" section you highlighted. The cost ramps up as your reputation increases as well as your scouting range. So even if you max out the sliders at a low level when you're still just scouting your nation it won't bankrupt your club. Over the Summer and start of this season I bumped my JR Coaching from Good to Excellent (+2) while not changing the recruitment range. It's April now and by the end of the season it will easily cost me 3x more for my Youth Set up this year. Popular Post Daddy
2024/25 Season Review: No fancy Infographs from me. Maybe I'll dig in over the weekend though. As expected we made the top group, but unfortunately fell short of a playoff spot. Needing just one point against the top two teams our final matches and we came up empty. Those two were not planned. My best player, a Central Defender in his prime. 14 in Jumping, Bravery, and Heading. For this league that's good. He cleared a ton of crosses and knocked in a few corners. His loss was definitely felt. It's where we went from 2nd and 3rd presplit. Y23A was the top player from the intake prior to taking over. I like to tag those players as well. He was starting to stake a claim to a starting forward spot. First comes the transfer request for the CD, and I'm able to make a promise to sell for 120K. Someone comes in for 60K and the owner accepts. I protest and they reject, but then immediately this offer comes in and I'm not given the chance to protest. It's a good chunk of money so I deal with it. I was pissed that 3.3K was too good to turn down and I couldn't protest that. I really hope this doesn't become a problem. At least I got some more upgrades. Youth Intake: I went from just wanting some depth to really hoping for a Centerback. Fortunately it delivered. He's not a beast, yet, but some real potential there with a pretty good personality and being either footed. Dude needs to eat though. 2025/26 Season preview: I've had enough of the yellow sponsor and went back to one of my favorites to use. It just works on every kit. Not detailed above is that my top scorer up and retired. He scored 75 goals in my two seasons, so hopefully someone steps up to replace him. Only goal is to not get relegated, which I think it manageable. There's a fair amount of young talent from the last two intakes so if some of those guys take off then there's a good chance we'll be back pushing for promotion again. Otherwise I can see making the cut for the top group but not being close to the top 4 spots.
Popular Post WhiteCat33
Guiseley AFC Season 5 2027-2028 - VNL:N Matches | Squad | Transfers | Finances | Supporters | Facilities League: 11th of 24 After last season being our second fall on the final day out of playoffs I took this year as the rebuild year releasing all our remaining legacy players. Throwing in a 17 year old GK combined with the departure of our star CB meant we were going to have problems defensively. What I didn't count on was for our offense to just click this year and for us to hit 92 goals for the league best while allowing 66 which was 11th worst. Cups: FA CUP - 3rd Qualify Round ; FA Trophy - 4th Round Honestly played the B squad for every cup hoping to get out as soon as possible. Transfers: Legacies - The only big choice of a departure was the GK. Kyle Trenerry was only 27, and a bang-average GK with the most 11's I've ever seen. He played well enough, but with a Balanced Personality and Team leader I didn't like that negative influence on personality & determination in the squad. Year 1 Stars: I'm officially 0 for 2 on Sell-Ons as both of these guys were passed off on a free in under 1 year Spoiler Spoiler Starting XI: Spoiler This year we have an A squad that can compete well with the league. Instead of going by position I figured I'd showcase the 11 by class: Year 1: Sebastian Gołębiowski 01f - Pressing Forward: My Polish monster up front. Even though his personality degraded to balanced from F Professional he keeps improving mentally & physically to the point where he absolutely dominates the CBs at this low level. And he even got his finishing up to 3!! Proof skill isn't anything as he had 25 Goal contributions in 35 starts this season with an impressive 7.4 rating. Locked him in to a contract till 2033 so he's here for the long haul! Joe Vaughan 01c - Right FB: Welsh U18 international & Vice Captain he has become a quality FB even if his technical abilities leave a lot to be desired. Charlie Thornber 01m - Left FB: If he was Fairly professional he'd be the Vice Captain instead as he's equally as important for the other flank. Luke Farrell 01g - Left Mid / Center Mid: Farrell was retrained to LM as his passing is too poor for CM and he's finally starting take to the position. Another leader, but he lost his ambition which isn't the worst to keep him at the club. Year 2: Adem Çiçek 02h - RM / CAM: This English/Turkish versatile either footed speedster is my captain as he's my only Resolute personality & has decent leadership (13). His mentals are just now getting okay, but just being fast got him the most assists in the VNL:N (12) and a 7.28 Rating. Still has potential left and with his personality he's got the best chance of reaching it. Macaulay Brownhill 02a - CM/CAM: I knew When he arrived he'd be our playmaker and he hasn't disappointed. Rieves Burbeary 02f - CB: The better of our 2 CBs he's acceptable but that 5 pace is not good in FM23's ME where balls over the top are very powerful. He still gets good match ratings, but I hope he improves a little more. Year 3: Curtis England 03a - GK: I took a risk here with a Fairly Sporting personality, but he's developing plenty well and is rated about equal to our old GK now. Thankfully he's improving significantly (as GKs do if they get lots of playing time). He is also the only player form this year who starts, so he's repping his class as the star pupil. Year 4: Aaron Davies 04i - AF: I could never imagine that Davies would turn out this good for us. He was the 3rd highest scorer in VNL:N with 26 goals in 33 appearances, which is nuts for a 16-year-old. Wales took notice and he has made every U18 call up actually starting in a few games. Even with Balanced personality he's developing great, specifically increasing his speed and Attacking mentals. He's the kind of striker we need for promotion. Derek Loughrey 04c - CM: A good Professional CM who has been a regular for Irelands U19s. He doesn't get the greatest ratings, so his development isn't spectacular but he doesn't get red cards like my old CM so that's a bonus. Gary Ingham 04h - CB: He's actually a more balanced CB than my other one with 11 pace he isn't as easily beaten with boot-ball and given another year he should have a lot of 11 attributes for defensive mentals. Youth Academy: YI Preview: The sea of A's we all are getting Spoiler Youth Intake: Got good potential and some good personalities at the top, but the CA leaves a lot to be desired Spoiler Bechman 05a has a good personality, height and is either footed “Gets Crowd Going” is an interesting player trait; bummer on the determination but I enjoy getting in a foreign player. Hansen 05b is an all around inferior version of him, but we desperately need CBs so two fairly professional is all it takes to be a win. Cullen 05c is another physically awful CM, we have depth in CM so he probably will just stay in U18 This is the first intake where I’m taking just a few of them instead of the vast majority. Down to 7 I think have realistic prospects. Club Infrastructure: Double boost to JR Coaching to max it. Since we didn't go on a cup run this year we didn't make money so nothing else was improved. I'm keeping Recruitment where it's at for now. Spoiler Thoughts: This year's intake was weak, but it provides us a fresh batch of defenders for our B lineup. We now have the depth I think, we just need to develop the players for a couple seasons and then hopefully we can get out of this bottom league. Slow and steady right? Note - Imgur glitched on me so I'll update the rest of the screenshots later

Daddy
1 hour ago, Daddy said: Not detailed above is that my top scorer up and retired. He didn't actually retire. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
JAwtunes
Rather than playing I have been messing about with free infographic sites and have cobbled this together. Anyway, time to play some FM! For anyone interested, I made this on Adobe Express (free). Spoiler
Popular Post Reiver
So I heard we're now playing Infographics Manager now. It's a wrap at my first season in charge of Barreirense, and we very nearly grabbed a sneaky promotion. While on one hand it's amazing we managed to nearly beat 4000-1 odds, and we did it with the team that got promoted last year, I'm almost glad we didn't, as that would have made next year a huge struggle. When the team was on a high we played great, but all it took was for one of our key pieces to be uninspired for everything to fall apart. At one point we managed only 4 points out of 7 consecutive games! We rely possibly too heavily on Bruninho to win us the games - he scored 23 goals and was the top goalscorer of the whole league, our second best goalscorer 4 - and we suffer on his off days. Furthermore, he's now 34, so I need to think of football beyond him. Moneywise, things are also not amazing, though not too worrisome yet. There is some interest from Vit. Setubal in my playmaker (the one 4.5* rated player in my team) though I doubt I'd be able to make some money off that, and I'd rather keep him. Let's see what next year brings us!

Reiver
Before I start my write-up for the preview of next season, a quick shoutout to Pepe, about to retire at age 41, but still called for the national team and starting up in the 2024 Euros:

I really love this ! the only thing that i don't like about infographics is the history. i really like to see what someone did in his first seasons , how much season tickets you had in the first year and twenty years later. But this looks really nice !
Makoto Nakamura
2033/34 Youth Preview What we need now is a rightback, our best one is only 20 years old but he's also only rated good enough for the 4th tier.
