Popular Post WhiteCat33
Guiseley AFC Season 3 2025-2026 : VNNMatches | Squad | Transfers | Finances | Supporters | Facilities League: We have been in a playoff hunt the entire season. We started the new year in 2nd, so it was our campaign to lose. Naturally though, we had the slump in the winter and our bad form was significant enough that we fell all the way out of the playoffs positions down to 10th place after a shock loss to Leamington (who we beat 6-0 earlier in the season) as our strikers hit a baren spell. But after the congestion ended we were able to turn around two convincing wins against relegation candidates FC United & Billericay getting us into a three-way points tie for 7th at 70 points. Thankfully we have a very good GD (+29) so with this 3-0 win we get the top spot of the group. Our final match is away against the team just ahead of us: AFC Telford. If we win, we will be guaranteed playoffs! Anything other than that would require both other teams to do as badly, which is unlikely as we have the hardest opponent. Luckily our whole team is healthy, no one is suspended, & everyone is max happiness. Here we go: Spoiler 1st half – things really didn’t' start well as they dominated play and had all the chances till the 30’ where Cassidy got behind but was offside. However, that was the moment the momemntum of the match shifted and we started getting chances. Then in the 42’ our AP Maraculay Brownhill 02a scores an impressive shot from range! Quick halftime talk to keep them motivated and we return 2nd half – Totally quiet start, which isn’t a bad thing though they have retaken the momentum of the match and in the 58’ they find the equalizer. When our LB just misses his man completely and he runs it in and scores. My LM Walker isn’t doing well, so I bring on the speed merchant YP Howard 02b. Its at this point Spennymoor score against Kettering to go ahead. We need another goal or else we are knocked out. Unfortunately we can’t find a second goal even with pushing and never really take any good chances, so we end up drawing 1-1. And of course both Scarborough & Spennymoor win so we fall back down to 9th. Playoffs? Spoiler Nope Downer way to end what was a fantastic season. Because we aren’t getting promoted, I’ll be clearing out most of my remaining legacy players. We will do worse next season, but I need to focus on the future development rather than relying on a 33 year old Striker for another year. FA Cup: In my earlier post I showed how we managed to beat Birmingham City in the 1st Round proper of the Cup. Unfortunately, that was the end of our run as League 2 Carlisle United handedly beat us 2-0 Season Best XI: Our legacy strikers delivered this year getting 33 & 31 goals. If only they could have spread them more consistently instead of in fits and starts. Outside of them only my LB & GK are legacies with YP taking all the other positions. Youth Academy YI Preview: Promising, but not outrageous like some of yours Spoiler Youth Intake: Disappointing, but that's to be expected as these are the first players found my HOYD and it may take a few years for him to start delivering "quality" intakes. Spoiler The Lone Elite talent is a GK and tbh I don't see it: Maybe in a season there will be a surprise development that will warrant showing another of the players. I only took 8 this time and sadly most of that are midfielders, I really need more defensive cover. Youth Development: Star Players: Of these 3 who developed like mad from the initial intake only my Welsh RB Joe Vaughan 01c signed a second deal to stay with the club after next season. Unfortunate but expected, so I'll be looking to sell the BWM & CB with end of season deals next year and hopefully some quality sell-ons. Both are wanted by League 2 & 1 Clubs so that makes me hopefully I can profit on them at least a little. Future Stars: I'm really excited for my Polish RM. Hes a beast at 6'4" with great physicals and with that determination bumping up he's close to switching over to resolute. I've got my next CB in Burbeary 02f who has developed & played well this season. Then the third is my AP Brownhill 02a, who has been just what we needed in CM. I hope I can keep these next two on secondary deals. Club & Manager Improvement: Our modest cup run didn't bring sufficient funds for any facility improvements, but I was able to bump up Youth Recruitment again: My manager completed another badge and is slowly starting to take shape. Ugly that we only have a 38% win percentage, but at least after this season we have gone +16 in our GD as well as neutral on our record. Thoughts: Next year will begin the transition into full youth players, so I don't expect a high finish again. Luckily the board just has 'avoid relegation' as the demand so I've got lots of leeway here. One point that's bummed me is that my takeover bugged out the supporters' part of the Vision, so what should have become a really interesting dynamic of a fan-controlled club is totally dead. Daddy
2025/26 Midseason Review: Doing about where I expected given I got rid of my keeper and went with a 16 year old two white star current ability. He's actually doing alright with a 6.93 average rating in 27 appearances. We're not getting crushed with goals allowed, upper mid most in league though. About the same for goal scored. Slight improvements to both would be a big help. Had a pretty long term injury to one of my better players, but as he gets back into game shape I'm hoping to close out the season in the top 7 and see about making a promotion push. Well the last few were almost all As and came out to be ok. Fewer As here, but I'm really just hoping for at least one player to come in ready to take a starting spot soon. No Youth player has taken a starting spot yet, but I have one player who I think is going to retire and three more who are now hitting early 30s. I don't want to be in position where they all retire and the drop off is massive.
schnauzer
I'm going to have another go at this after reading all your posts! Couldn't get into the save I attempted a few weeks back with Bamber Bridge, but this save has started much better (still playing on FM22 btw). The team that I have taken over is Dorchester Town Football Club based in Dorset, England. I've attached the club profile and my manager attributes below. Hopefully will have the 1st season update out later tonight!
SuperRedditch
Redditch United Season 1 Youth Intake Preview A fairly solid core of A's. Bit disappointed at a lack of striker but that's how it goes. We're currently mid-table after 20 games, 6 pts off play-offs and 6pts off relegation. That's about the absolute best I can hope for, tbh. Edited October 26, 2022 by SuperRedditch

Maybe even 5-6 years, as relegation from the top flight got suspended a couple of years ago. Just double check so you know a promotion is possible! I'm gonna check this now. I already started playing with the club I picked. Let me start an alternate save in Mexico that sims for 6+ years to see if anybody gets promoted. Popular Post hubwub
For those interested in what happens in Mexico, if promotion and relegation is possible. In the 2023/2024 season, Tecos got promoted. In the Apertura, Cancun won. In the Clausura, Celaya won. Average Points is how a team is relegated from Expansion MX and as well as Liga MX. Even though Celaya won the Clausura for Liga BBVA Expansion MX. They got relegated because over a three year period they had the lowest average points. Now, who should get relegated from Liga BBVA MX. Over a three year period, it says Puebla. However, Puebla did not have 0 points in 22/23 but 29 points in game. As for what the 21/22 points, the real life Liga MX ends on October 30. So when the full game should be out that column should be filled in or not. So on June 10, the reset date for Mexico. Promoted into Liga BBVA MX is Cancun. As for Liga BBVA Expansion MX, Puebla has been relegated and Tampico Madero has been promoted. Celaya is no longer a playable team for the 2024/2025 season after they got relegated based on average points. I didn't even need to sim for six years. Just needs the three year average points to be filled in. I wonder if the winner of Campeón de Campeones Liga Expansión MX is the one that gets promoted because the match was between Cancun and Celaya. Cancun won and the date for their promotion was 5/25/2024. So, promotion/relegation does work in Mexico. This means I can continue my save. I love it. His personality will affect intakes pretty much instantly (I think) due to how your actual players get determined in the YI Preview. For the quality of your intakes its 3-4 years before he will start bringing in your players. Don't be surprised if you see a dip in quality of intakes around then especially if you bring in a foreign HOYD who doesn't know your country. That's why I track year to year my intakes as it takes at least 6-8 years till you can reliably determine things aren't working. Don't forget though U18 & U21 Head Coaches and other staff also impact personalities. @Nottingham Forest that dude at 33 could last you the whole save, fantastic pickup! Popular Post darren1983
So I know I said I was looking elsewhere than England but while having a little test to check the dates a team (kind of) caught my eye and well, to paraphrase Harry Potter we don't chose the team the team chooses us So here I am as manager of FC United A regular club for those of us who like to play at this level and one I've taken to the premier League before but never any further, which is part of the reason I picked them, another reason is that after Exeter City they are the second-largest fan owned club in England and I want to see what, if any, impact the new supporter stuff has on a fan owned club. They play at Broadhurst Park A lovely looking ground for teams of this level, but one of the other reasons they caught my eye is a player they signed in real life this summer and who is still there a year into this save with another season on his contract: Yes that is former Manchester United starlet and FM wonderkid Callum Gribbin. He can't do much but pick a pass and take a corner or free kick but should be fun to have play at this level.
Popular Post Perre8
Intro This is my first topic post here, i've been playing the youth challenge but without posting anything. I decided to take over Club Portugalete, as a persona manager Esteban (my name in Spanish) Salinas. The brother (Patxi) of famous ex Barca player Julio Salinas is their manager in real life. Club Portugalete is a Spanish football team based in Portugalete, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1909, it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 4, holding home games at Estadio La Florida, with a capacity of 5,000 seats Club name: Club Portugalete Level: Tercera División Stadium: Estadio La Florida Maximum Capacity: 5,000 Ticket Prices: 15€ for an adult How to arrive: Metro to Portugalete station then a 10 minute walk. Portugalete is most famous for being one of the most densely populated districts in Spain: the town has a total area of 3.21km with roughly 47,756 residents meaning there is approximately 15,000 people per square kilometre. "When you hail from a town where a bridge receives more recognition than your football club, you know that life is going to be an uphill struggle. In fact, in its 110 years as a football club, Club Portugalete has never attained anything approaching the heights of Alberto Palacio’s world-famous transporter bridge." Popular Post SkiIIs
Season 2024/25 - VNN - Chesham United No real standout from last year's intake meant that the team wasnt really improved. And that was pretty evident by how the season played out as we spent the majority of the season between 17th - 20th. Four points from 36 available leading towards the last game of the season meant we needed a draw or win to survive the drop, we couldnt have asked for a better fixture having Lowestoft at home. Banbury were playing Spennymoor and if either had won and we lost it was game over. We copped an early goal and Bannbury scored an early penalty and for a few minutes we were in the relegation zone. We then equalised and scored a go ahead goal just before half time and we suddenly had some room to breathe. Lowestoft then equalised with 5 minutes left so the blood pressure rose again before we scored a late winner to win 3 - 2 and keep this save going. Youth Preview was even better than last year and needed to take two pics to capture all the A's. My worst player is rated C: The intake, like last year was a bit underwhelming, only 2x 5 star PA off a really low base. Of the better players, 4 out of the 5 have really good personalities so thats something that I can work with, but will take a while. Finances were a little better this year, making a 250k loss. Have tried to resign players on lower contracts where possible and reduced the wage bill to 5k per week. Wasnt able to make any improvements or any coaching badges though. Next year will be another struggle but hopefully we can avoid a relegation dog fight
Popular Post libbyshuss
Championnat National 2026/27 (season 4) Season Summary Well...... It was all going pretty well! I'd sold my best two youth prospects for the possible riches down the line so was expecting us to not quite be as competitive as we were last season and so it proved. By the start of February we were safely mid-table in 9th. And then this was our run in to the end of the season.... So, yeah, it wasn't a total surprise when we dropped into the relegation spots and not a huge surprise we couldn't get out of it. We were already relegated by the time of the final game, so that win just seemed sarcastic! It was one of those runs we just couldn't get out of, no matter what we did. I'd have been more than happy to go down and try to get back up, as the fourthstage is playable for relegated sides I think. But I never got that chance. SACKED! CHALLENGE OVER!!!! well, that was short and sweet! But I guess that's also why we keep coming back to this challenge; it's genuinely a difficult challenge! I was undone by finances in the end. Losing between 800k-1m a season is never going to help with limited ways of making any money other than selling your best prospects. I shall be back!

Popular Post SuperRedditch
Redditch United Season 1 - 2023/24 Vanarama National League North - 19th Managed to survive relegation on the final day, despite losing our last 2 games other results went our way. Job done. Our mid-season form was very poor, and if not for a run of 3 wins on the bounce near the end we'd have got relegated for sure. The team is really bad, there's very few shining lights and our best player is leaving at the end of the season. We haemorrhage money every month and have the worst facilities you can imagine. I knew all this was the case though, this is a slow build - I don't expect to get out this division for a decade. I also had to promise my GK that we'd upgrade the training facilities in order for him to sign a new contract. I will not be able to keep this and he'll kick off when he finds out. In better news, I managed to wrangle a coaching course out of the board before the finances went into the red. The Intake The youth setup at this club is awful, so I wasn't expecting too much. That said, there's some good personalities in there especially near the top. Jones and Tchuda have gone straight into the first XI no questions asked. Adam Jones 23a - Good personality, 5* PA and solid attributes for this level. Really happy with this. Mussa Tchuda 23b - Weird player. Does nothing other than "work hard". Might play him as a Pressing Forward. Next Season Put Gloria Gaynor on repeat because "I will survive!". libbyshuss
@darren1983 Not sure if Holland is available this year. I simmed up to 2026 with no promotions to that second tier. Unless i've done something wrong....

Popular Post Muttley84
Yverdon - FMT 21 - Season 1 (2021-2022) So when I arrived at the club I did found a healthy group of players (List 1, List 2) but not a single Staff member. So the first priority was bringing in new people to work with me, until we had a Full Staff for each position (In FMT you only get one for each department). After that we begun running through the list of players and extending contracts where needed. What I found of interest is that we are affiliated with Team Vaud Lausanne U18, but we cannot move any player from it to our squad. We are not predicted to finish last, which is a nice surprise, and we do have an 5650 stadium with modest facilities for starting this challenge (Adequate training, Below average Youth and Fairly Basic Recruitment). We performed above my expectations this season, as we finished comfortably 6th in mid-table, miles ahead of Kriens who was the worst team in the league, but also miles behind the top 3 (Grasshopper, Winterthur and Neuchatel) who fought for promotion till the end. No notable performance in the Cup as we exited the 3rd round against top tier opposition. We were pretty balanced in the Best Squad performance-wise, which is good as it means we are not dependent on a single player for goals or assists, although the Player Awards single out or starting AMC. As expected our Finances were declining the entire season (including to the point the board had to put some cash injection for running costs), but they did recover a bit after season end and prize money. Still mostly unbalanced with so little money coming in from Merchandise or Shirt sales. Of course we had no Transfers in the entire season, but we also didn't sold anyone. Gonna let a couple of contracts run at the end this summer and that is all. The board offered me a new contract which I gladly accepted after the season ended. One point of note is that the board decided to adjust the budget development costs, now aiming for Average academy coaching. We did also got a new affiliation with Echichen, a small club close to Lausanne (I did not request it or could I influence it anyways, it was entirely the board's decision). The board expects us to Avoid a relegation battle next year also, which is a realistic target, and our Budget is decent for achieving that (of course we are going to pour it all under the salary expenses). In other news from Switzerland, Young Boys won the Super League, Basel won the Cup and they will be joined by Servette and St. Gallen in the UEFA competitions. Our Youth Intake Preview was nothing to hopeful, as it only advertised for a good forward and a small number of players (which is to be expected in Touch), but the actual results were pleasing, as we got six players (4 of them being very decent prospects) - the top of the pick being Luca Zappacosta who already broke the record of being our youngest player ever. Unfortunately he won't be long with us as I was only able to give him a contract with a release clause (it was locked in by the agent) and by season end vultures already started sniffing around him. We might lose him even in this summer, but at least we get the other 3 decent prospects (AML, ST, GK), although I signed the other 2 also.

Popular Post schnauzer
Dorchester Town FC - Season 1 (2022 / 2023) Review - Vanarama National League South League Performance We came close to achieving promotion in our first attempt, but ultimately lost in the playoffs 2nd round. We were predicted to finish last and whilst we definitely over-performed, I do think that we have a few talented players at the club who can hopefully help us to achieve a stable mid, or lower-mid, table finish next year and help us bring through the youth players. Striker Alfie Stanley (21) and midfielder Tom Purrington (22) are our best players and thankfully I managed to tie them both to long-term deals. The main issue we have is that a few of our key starters are now quite old and won't be playing for much longer - Thiago Cazé (33), Jennison Myrie-Williams (34) and Tom Soares (36). Nevertheless, we managed to keep quite a consistent level of form in the league throughout the season and only a dip at the end made the playoffs seem in doubt. The highlight was completing the league double over the club's fierce rivals, Weymouth Town, who themselves narrowly escaped a double relegation - which is good as we keep the high gate receipts from facing them twice next season! In the playoffs, we struggled to overcome 9-man Dulwich Hamlet in the first round, beating them only through penalty shootout luck. This meant that our team were exhausted by the 2nd leg against Bath just 3 days later, who were fresh having not already played. We were well beaten and lost the game 3-0 away to Bath, who then lost in the final to Dartford. If I am being honest, I am relieved that we didn't go up yet as we would have likely been the whipping boys in the National League! FA Cup - Very disappointingly beaten in the first match (2nd qual. round) by Yate Town, so no cup money. FA Trophy - We beat Hythe Town, and then forced a replay against nearby Yeovil Town - who ended up winning the National League - before bowing out (3rd round). Squad - Some strong performances across the board. I was surprised how well Thiago Cazé played given his low rating. The big disappointment was MJ Kedman, who has the pace and agility to be very dangerous as the Inside Forward in my system yet can't find the back of the net often. Harvey Bertrand, the brother of ex-England left back Ryan Bertrand, improved a lot through the season and had a great partnership with Cazé. Callum Buckley at left back also had a great season and contributed a lot to the attack in my tactical system. Players of the Season 1. Jennison Myrie-Williams: This guy played like a non-league Arjen Robben! 27 goal contributions (15 goals, 12 assists) at 34 and little pace is brilliant. 2. Alfie Stanley: A very reliable goal-scorer and great all-round forward to have. Thankfully he rarely was injured as we have no cover for him. 3. Thiago Cazé: I nearly gave it to Purrington but Cazé marshalled an inexperienced defence superbly and was really useful for the team. Youth grad Roy Welsh will now be primed to replace him in a few years time. Rookie of the Season Shayne Haines: A great player that I inherited from the holiday season. Played nearly every game in the base of my midfield and even chipped in with 5 goal contributions. Improved his attributes a lot this season too and hopefully will become even better. Youth Intake - Seems like a fairly decent bunch, with Roy Welsh the pick of the lot! Transfers - Just a couple of unneeded players signing elsewhere. Finances - Very stable throughout the season thanks to our weekly wages just being £3,900 per week for the entire squad. Our average attendance in the league is only 468 with 104 season ticket holders so I will need to increase these numbers through further strong season performances and hopefully an FA cup run next year. I might try to get the board to improve the youth facilities next season if I can get the overall balance a little higher. Other Updates - I got my National C coaching license, and the board upgraded both the junior coaching and youth recruitment. They are both quite strong for our level now so I am hopeful for next season's intake! We also have ex-Swansea wingers Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge linking up again in our coaching team. League Finish History Y22/23 - VNS - 7th - 75pts Facilities Training Facilities - Average, Youth Facilities - Basic, Junior Coaching - Average, Youth Recruitment - Adequate. Average home attendance & Number of Season Ticket Holders Y22/23 - 468 (104) Edited October 27, 2022 by schnauzer
Popular Post libbyshuss
Ok, so here I go again! I decided to let the random factor decide like a tractor for me so set up a few possibilities (I'm only going to do countries I haven't completed it yet!) so who wins????? I was going to do the same with the choices for maximum random lols but one name stood right out. I have unfinished business with Marbella. I got them all the way to La Liga when with them before only for the board to sack me after one little 10 match winless run. So here we go again! They have amazing starting facilities for a save like this but the financial projection does worry me just a little bit.....
