russ the womble
27 minutes ago, fries said: Vanarama National League 2026/27 (season 4) Season Summary My expectations this season were to fight for promotion and keep developing my players. Before the season I sold one of my four young offensive star players. I wondered how I could get the most out of the remaining three and therefore changed my tactic to a 4-3-3 with three strikers. The three strikers scored lots of goals, but we were also open in the defense. In the end, we scored massively 113 goals which were enough to win the title and promotion. The defense got better in the second part of the season as my defenders got better. My 3 young offensive stars Ergan, Byran, and Walters, played very well. Byran scored massively 48 league goals in 45 league games. While the two other strikers Egan and Walters had the highest average rating with 7.51. They scored and assisted a combined 30 and 29 respectively. Marcinkowski and Jordao developed very well this season. After this magnificent season, I thought it was a good idea to display my three strikers. First Byran. He played as an advanced forward in the center of the three strikers. He can finish, dribble, and run and his mentals are crazy. Fortunately, I have had no problems with him being unhappy. I think he will be appointed as my captain for the next season. Egan plays as a false 9 on the left. According to the season preview tab, in the end of the season, he was regarded as the best player in the league. However, he wants to move to a bigger club. With two years back on his contract, I can hopefully keep him for another year. Walters plays as a target man on the right. He also wants to move to a bigger club. With two years back on his contract, I can hopefully also keep him for another year. Not only my first team had success with my new tactic. My youth team also won their league and scored most goals. The youth intake preview looked great. Lots of A's and 5 stars. I was very happy with the intake. The personalities are okay. Both N'Guessan and Douglas will be rotational players next season. Douglas was the best player in my intake. He got a few games at the end of the season and played well. Oliver was as earlier mentioned sold for around £500K and a 50 pct. sell-on-clause before the season. I later sold the sell-on-clause for around £1.5M. However, no important players left the club this season. Unfortunately, my talented reserve keeper is leaving the club for free after this season. I tried to loan him out, but the only club that answered wanted him as a backup. I declined the offer and he was unhappy for the rest of the season, why it was impossible to renew his contract. Finances and Upgrades I managed to upgrade the facilities. I upgraded my training facilities once and youth recruitment twice. Personally, I managed to get the Continental Pro Licence Next season Next season I hope to keep my young players through the summer. The strikers should be good enough to play at the top of the league again. I have my doubts about the rest of the team. But in the end, it would be great if we can fight for the play offs. Those are some great youths!

About as comprehensive as domination gets. Best attack. Best defence. Unbeaten since November. I took things a little slower this season - I did all the press conferences, I managed my players better, and I came up with a simpler tactic and everything just worked. Last season was frustration, this season was pure joy. Sometimes it takes me too long to really decide where a player is best, I get there eventually but I wish I'd made these decisions 12 months ago. Off the pitch, we've reinvested the MacFarlane money into Youth and Training facilities and still have around £700k left. Going to sit on that for a while as I'm pretty happy with the infrastructure as it stands and don't want to over-extend. The title-winning team GK - Saul Asplin-Rowley - Brought through to try and look to the future. Kept club record 20 clean sheets. DR - Leighton Allard - Moved from DM to IWB as part of new look line-up. Solid.DCR - Uwe Knoll - Great DC for this level. Former DR.DCL - Alieu Jawara - Moving him from DL to DC has revolutionised my defence. Unbeatable in the air. Gambian international.DL - Franck Kitoko - Was a bit harsh on him last intake. Sometimes you just need a solid lump of mass on the pitch and he's capable. DM - Gareth Lynch - Really just filling in a space. A weak-link.MCR - Lamar Mackey - Good DLP who is leaving on a free.MCL - Alex Dyson - Star, all-action CM(At) who is also leaving on a free and is a devastating loss. 15 goals/12 assists. AMR - Lamine Camara - Getting better every season at IF(At). 16 goals/22 assists.AML - Aday Sanz - Another weak-link just filling a spot.ST - Bekir Twigg - MacFarlane WHO!? 51 goals. FIFTY ONE GOALS. 51. Youth Intake Blah blah bunch of A's blah blah golden generation. It's actually ok. Top two are good pick ups, and then about 5-6 more who will just bulk out my squad. Next Season We've got some really good players, the better ones would be fine for League Two, but losing our two starting CMs is going to hurt us bad. Just being in a new division is going to be fun. Congrats on promotion as well! You've developed some great players, much better than mine id say. Guess the benefit for me is its easier for me to hang onto my players. Hope you have better luck than me with sell ons when your midfielders leave. Edit: just got down to your 9 mil windfall, damn that's a sweet fee! You're set up beautifully now. Very jealous! Season 15 was a very successful one for us. We managed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the first time and even managed to beat Anderlecht twice in the group to secure a 3rd place finish. This meant we went through to the first knockout round of the Europa League where we met Fiorentina. Unfortunately Fiorentina were just far too strong and we lost on aggregate. As you'd expect, we made loads of money thanks to qualifying for the CL group and the couple of wins we managed, so our finances are really healthy. ....... and we also welcomed our first Andorran academy graduate this season (i.e. matching the manager). Popular Post The7Striker
Sport Clube da Régua 2024/2025 Season Finances Supporters Transfers Squad Campeonato de Portugal Serie B This year we were assigned to group B for geographical reasons. Nevertheless, we managed to keep the 8th place in the table and we will compete in Campeonato de Portugal one more season. The team shows many defensive weaknesses and without options it will certainly get worse, but for now we kept a positive goal difference. Off the pitch the board alow me to take both B and A national licenses but our training facilities deteriorate. Hope I can improve them in a near future. Taça de Portugal - Oh boy, we reached the 3rd round but Benfica was too much for us. Nevertheless, we got around 50k in TV and gate revenues. Not bad, in that side at least. U19 Squad - The quality wasn't great and they fought until the end but didn't avoid relegation. Youth Intake Last season's upgrades took effect and we had a good intake. Lots of potential and some players already have place in the next year's squad. Quite excited to see how they will develop. Next Season: I don't expect an easy season again, so avoiding relegation should be our main focus, alongside improve our defense. Popular Post Reiver
(click the infographic to read all the details) The 2024/25 season has now reached his conclusion. While we started strong at the start and then wavered at the end in the promotion stage, this season was different. We were never at the very top but we also never had a period where we lost steam, we were just a decent top half team throughout the whole season - other than at the very beginning, we mostly fluctuated between 7th and 3rd place which this season meant we were never at the very top running for promotion but we are also never in the relegation spots. We only ended up 5 points lower than last year, but the top teams were better this year and in this Series. The standout player was, once again Bruninho. The now 35 year old striker might be at the twilight of his career, but he still bagged over 20 goal, second best goalscorer of our Series and 4th of the whole division. Still, he is now 35, so the plan is for us to now slowly try to phase him out. He's not the only one either. While we still have Bruninho for at least one more year, we are not renewing contracts with any players that are roughly at the same level as some of our youngsters. So out goes our captain, Janita, a 28 year old central defender; Heta, 32, one of our left-backs; António Pereira, 27, third choice left winger; and Leonardo Pereira and Filipe Almeida, two more strikers. The idea is for all of these guys to be replaced by players from our youth intake, specially last years intake - there hasn't been as much improvement on the players as I've hoped for, but a few are actually getting decently better. Shout out for José Rodrigues, the first one to properly break into the first team. Another shout out to our youth team, as they actually won promotion from the under 19s second division to the top tier - meaning next year our kids will be playing against the likes for Benfica, Sporting, Casa Pia, Estoril, Académica, NAcional and Marítimo, among others! On a different note, while we're still financially poor, we finished the season slightly better than last year - still not good enough to get any improvements, and our training facilities got downgraded, but I'll keep trying. Because of the team's transformation, it is possible next season will not go as smoothly sa this one, but i'll be going through it, fingers crossed, and hoping to at least be there in the top half of the league. Popular Post BigJack
FC United Season 5 - 2027/28 Season Preview Preview Predicted Finish = 24th. Competitions Overview VNL - League Table FA Cup - Knocked out in the 1st round by Chorley. FA Trophy - Knocked out in the third round by Gateshead. At the end of last season we did lose both Hollis 24d and Fallon 24a on free transfers but with a 50% sell on clause, one of which I sold early for £1.4m which may have been a mistake with Premier League sides Burnley and Southampton sniffing around him now. This meant we went into our first season at this level shy of our 2 best defenders in a defence that was notorious for leaking goals. I did not expect us to get off to such a strong start as we won 8 of our first 14 games and sat firmly in the play off places. The fact we only won 6 of our remaining 32 games tells its own story of how frustrating this season was and we flirted with the relegation places and only saw a slight upturn in form when the youth intake rolled in and we had some more defenders to choose from. We conceded a league high 102 goals and scored the 2nd most with 87. Playing Squad Best 11 Transfers Squad You will see in the squad tab that 3 of this years intake made up the majority of our back line for the last 7 games as we seriously lack in this department after losing our 2 star men. A few of the legacy players are asking for silly money to renew their wages so they will be released this summer as I start really focusing on developing what I have as the next few seasons are going to be a real struggle. This seasons star men are: Al-Taib 24b - He is off this summer. Going to try to get 50% sell on and a friendly but most teams are saying they are put off by his wage demands. Has been good for us with 57 goals in 148 games. Lawton 26c - A good second season in the first team and improved on his assist tally from last season to grab 15 this year. Schorah 27b - Chucked in earlier than I would have liked but did well and I am hopeful he can develop into a good LB. Mcdermott 24c - A real standout in our midfield and is getting better and better. Onyeka - Another solid season from mr reliable. He is one legacy player I am in no rush to move on. Youth Development Preview Intake At the start of the season I replaced my HOYD with a New HOYD just based on his personality, and his first intake is not a disappointment. I am not sure how much impact he would have had on this one as I have seen a few people mention it takes a while for that. But its come with some players I really needed as we were so light beforehand. 3 basically went straight into the first 11. 8 elite talents in total and with 2 cbs and a rb, he came through when I really needed it. Hendon 28a - CB who is instantly the best cb at the club and also became ours and the National leagues Youngest scorer. Howarth 28b - A rb which we have been screaming out for. I think he can develop into a really good option for us and with not much competition he will get plenty of games. Jones 28c - Looks like he can be a good midfield option and similar to Howarth will get plenty of games. Turnbull 28d - Another option at CB is exactly what we needed and alongside Hendon 28a will be my starting pairing next season. Parkins 28e - We have a few talented keepers and he isn't the best one so will be left in the u18s for a season or 2. Finances and Facilities Finances Facilities After the windfall from Fallon 24a we upgraded our Youth Recruitment again and its now excellent. A healthy bank balance but the board are not interested in any upgrades yet so I will wait a while and see how we get on. 4 or 5 legacy players are moving on this season and that will save us a bit in wages over next season. Other/Next Season Pro License All Time Best 11 Club Records Its going to be a struggle but another fight to stay up is pretty obvious. I have almost completed the Pro license badge. Popular Post russ the womble
Eskilstuna City - Season 4 Relegation! Seems my team was not good enough to make the step up. A few of the original players who I had depended on in defence have got gradually worse as the season progressed. My younger CBs are not quite ready to take over so it started to feel a little inevitable. Anyway - amazingly not sacked and with a new contract, so gives me a chance to rescue things and try and get promoted again next year. The Squad's performance was pretty underwhelming. Spoiler Notable Player Profiles Filip Edvardsson progressed a bit more and was a good performer in the league when he had opportunities to attack - ending up on 7 goals almost made him the key goal threat. Spoiler Clement Mace was promoted from the new youth intake late on in the season. Looks like plenty of room for growth and should be first choice at RB in the lower league. Spoiler Jakob Ahlberg is another new youth intake, who will likely take the GK shirt for next year Spoiler Marcus Lindh has been out on loan but looks promising enough to promote to the senior team and try out as a BWM Spoiler Board are expecting a top half finish next season so I hope to outdo expectations and hopefully a few youths will progress.

Popular Post Nottingham Forest
Season 3 2025-26 Season Vanarama National League North Season Summary Another good season paper but a frustrating one to say the least as we're cruelly beaten in the play-off final for the second time in three seasons. We started off well and maintained our play-off spot for the whole season. Unfortunately as other sides around us started to have their blips, we followed suit. In the final my left back got sent off in the space of four first half minutes and that all but ended our hopes. In the cups we reached the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round and in the FA Trophy we reached the second round. Youth Intake Not as good as last season but there are few players who could make the step up. Other Bits At the end of the season I got the message that the chairman was withdrawing his financial backing. He's only done two seasons and hasn't thrown much of his own money in. However, the last few seasons we've had the owner throw the cash in at the end if needed. So looks like we'll be remaining over £250k+ in the red for a little longer. They do seem happy to do some basic improvements though and got two lots this season. Most recent below. Dembele YP1c, Yossry YP2d & Bless YP1g all got callups for Ivory Coast, Scotland & Switzerland youth sides with some making their debuts.

Popular Post Reiver
FC Barreirense Third try's the charm? 2025/26 Campeonato de Portugal Série C The "luck" of promotions and relegations dictated that this season 18 years of top level experience were added to the league in the from of Leiria, one of the favourites to not just win our Series but to actually win the whole thing. Despite a second and fourth place finish in the previous years, we were still given 800-1 odds, and we're predicted to finish 11th! At least our new president still just wants us to avoid relegation, so there's also no pressure there for us to deliver the results of previous years. Same with our supporters, who just add to the list of requests that we get a better reputation than our rivals Fabril. We got the best of them last year, let's also hope for that this year. The overall quality of the team has decreased a bit, while the potential has increased, which means that I will be happy to just stay in the league this year working on improving the younger dudes.

We do end only 3 points from an European spot! Look at Besiktas and Trabzonspor who both had a horrbile season. Also Fener ended badly and BASAKSEHIR got their second championship. We had our best run in the cup to, getting to the 6th round. Sadly less people come to see our games. Best news is that I could imrpove Youth coaching to Exceptional and Youth recruitment to Excellent!. Our training facilities got downgraded despite that we improved them this year. Turkish quality. :/ TURAN finally broke into the 1st 11 in the midfield. Same with SARI in the attack. In the defense we ware struggling after our star defender got sold for 1.8mln. 15 year old UMUT had to step in and did great. He grew from 1,5 star into 3 stars this seaosn. Brilliant improvement. We will need to replace PEKER and GEMICI who both are retireing at the end of the season. Im hoping to give them scouting roles at the club to keep old players. Our goaly ACAR got injured at the end of the season and GABEL got first team games. It will be difficult to see if we need to replace ACAR next year or not. Biggest sale so far. I was mad about it as it did cost us atleast 12 points in the beggining of the campaign. This must have been the best intake I ever had. 11 ELITE players! crazy. Also three players already with two star ability. This will be grand. BALCI will have to fight with GABEL in future for the 1st team spot. Decent personality and amazing handling. love this dude. GUNAY. Already great passing. Bad determination though. 50/50 if he will make it. OZDURAN. Will probably star next year as GEMICI decided to retire. Has alot to improve but he will get the time.

Popular Post Shambolic
Radcliffe Season 23/24 Finances | Transfers | Squad Part 1 | Squad Part 2 League Table We started the season quite well and were flirting with the playoffs up until about January when the inevitable fitness issues started, coupled with injuries that left a few key players out for weeks at a time, meant that we went from beating teams in and around us, to losing to the teams above and drawing with the teams below. I can't imagine next season will be any better as the majority of key players in our squad are the wrong side of 30 and the new blood are far too raw to play at any level of consistency. Hopefully there's a few gems that can be unearthed and help keep our heads above water. FA Cup - We had a dream run in the FA Cup which is the entire reason our finances are still in the black. Going to Oldham Athletic and Crewe and picking up wins happened during the time when we were also dreaming of making the play-offs. Unfortunately, a trip to Fratton Park proved a step too far but the money that came from the near 9k crowd definitely softened the blow. FA Trophy - We had a pretty decent run in this competition too, but as I was prioritising the League and using this competition to try out different line-ups and formations then success was never really on the cards. Youth Intake A lot of potential from our first intake of the career. No standouts in terms of CA but a lot stuff to be worked with. Luckily we were given a high potential keeper as I had to release mine after he threatened to go to the press when I rejected his demands for a new, improved contract. The standouts: Liam Davidson - We are not light for strikers in the squad, but given his finishing is pretty poor and his lightening quick for this level, I may retrain him as a right winger. Oliver Evans - A centre-back was something we definitely needed and this guy looks the business. Excellent bravery and good positioning and tackling for this level with a lovely amount of pace too. Hoping he can form the backbone of my squad for years to come. Lee Grant - Another striker who I'll be using as a winger. An out and out dribbler who'll excite the fans, will need to work on the crossing. Next Season I've managed to keep the majority of my squad with only Lamar Reynolds saying he doesn't want to renew, which is a shame as he is my best player. Hopefully Liam Davidson will take his place and we won't miss him too much. I'll be looking to consolidate again next season and just remain in the league, with any luck we'll get another glorious cup run but I won't be expecting it. Popular Post shaunvamos
Alrighty, let's try Romania.... CSM Alexandria, located in a town of 45,000 people and a 2 hour drive from Bucharest. A relatively young club with a decent size stadium, which means history just waiting to be written. The best part? I now have 38 players to work with, more then three times what I had in Slovenia. Let's hope I can last a little longer here

libbyshuss
Uruguay - FC Rocha - Season 1! ok so...... I thought only one team was relegated and the team that finished in 11th went into a play off. The rules say so and everything. but.... It's fair to say I'm struggling a little bit this year! Again it was morale that did for me in the end. It was a constant battle to get it out the gutter and by the time I managed it it was too late. Really frutrating but we go again! I'll be back in Uruguay at some stage. I only lasted 1 season but it was quite good fun and the small leagues make it nice and fast edit: I worked it out. The play-off place goes to the team with the lowest average number of points over 2 seasons, which was us. really unlucky! @darren1983 Uruguay resets on January 1st! Oof, yeah, you went down due to the average points over two seasons rule. It's something that is popular in South America. It's something you have to deal with in Colombia and Uruguay, you were just unlucky that it caught you out this time.

HenTheChicken
Alright, so I've elected to not update too often, but the 2025/2026 season was an impressive one from us, cup wise we exceeded all expectations. This was the nathaniel MG Cup final, against Cefn Druids, I mean, what a win for us with our midfield playing the games of their lives! I couldn't have been happier saying that our league season wasn't going too well. We had come 6th in the last season and we looked on road to do significantly worse. We were looking at a potential 9th or 8th, but the cup win upped our morale, and after it we only lost 2 games, that we definitely could've won on a better day. We also made it to the Welsh Cup final against TNS, we entered the game expecting to lose, but a miracle happened. We won! In a dominating performance, beating them in posession, and limiting them to only 2 shots, 0 on target. I will ecstatic! We have a few rising stars in the team, who I'll make sure to update on, but we're going into 2026/2027 with games in the conference league, which is insane saying that we haven't been promoted from Cymru South(?) yet, I'm looking to get some money, upgrade our training facilities as I've had to promise players that in contracts and potentially go professional. Things are looking good for mumbles! Edited November 5, 2022 by HenTheChicken

russ the womble
How do people manage their youths? Do you send them all out on loan until it becomes clearer who is high PA or rely entirely on the initial ratings and keep everyone in the youth team for a season or two? Immediately promote the best couple?

Immediately promote the best couple? I have not sent any players out on loan. I also don't have a B team and will elect not to have one till I have gone through more youth intakes. Right now, my youth intake is meant to replace my aging real players wherever possible. Also, I try to limit the amount of players on my team, 44 total. My main team will have a starting XI and then backup XI and same with my U20s. I'm not there yet. It's just a lot to micromanage if you have to many players. It makes me want to wish for a select all praise all these players for training well or criticize them.

So do you only keep the 4.5/5 star youths and then introduce from the bench/rotate them in? I tend to promote one or two who look the most promising, but don't feel I always pick the right ones. The rest I have in my U19s but only managed to get a couple out on loan, so I rely on them getting game time in the U19s - I think at present I probably have too many in the U19 squad. HenTheChicken
Mumbles 2026/2027 Youth Intake This is exactly what we needed, a great youth intake to bolster my first team and solidify my title charge in the last few games in the season, and a model citizen who'll be able to mentor the team in the future! Brilliant! Ben Griffiths, what a GOAT, looks great for being 15, his mental traits are shockingly good for this level and I love how he looks in defensive terms. He'll be a main team feature for the next few seasons easily. Sadly, this guy is a left winger and we don't include him in the tactic, but he looks like he'd be a very good central or left midfielder, so I'll retrain him to be that, if he looks like something else please say! I mean, he looks good, I can't really say much here, I'm looking forward to see how he develops. Our future mentor, Samuel Jones, the definition of a central midfielder, we'll have to work on him a bit, but my god I'd be stupid to waste his talent.

Even the best I leave there unless I'm desperate. very rarely have i had 16/17 year olds who perform. I tend to send players out on loan at 19/20 if they are nowhere near the first team. every now and then you get a nice surprise, and if nothing else a bit of extra transfer value.
Popular Post libbyshuss
ok, so i went back to the random factor like a tractor! and.... and the winner is.... calling mr. holiday man! 9 months later and he presents us with these options Catania were hugely tempting but I always had a soft spot for ChievoVerona and it was really sad when they went bust. Apparently they are kinda back in Italy, and the game seems to think they're valide for promotion to Serie C in 2023! so, here we go.... Really nice starting facilities! Media prediction is a bit scary, given my record so far in FM23. The balance is insane though - £9m!!!!! i can't possibly screw this up, can i? can i????
